Re: What Has This Game Come To?

I know what a rainbow table is and you can't assume it works on haypi cuz a wannabe hack told you. It is very common for passwords to be defensed against that form of decoding.

I have to be clear. There is absolutely no way you could possibly know anything about the equipment, money or coins of an account that has been supposedly hacked when the person who created it can't even access it. You kidding me bro?

I have underestimated your intelligence when you quote Winfield of all people and talk about things you couldn't possibly know.

Have you a server record of this supposed alliance that was created and then deleted? How could you know this? How could you know anything about what a hacker was doing with an account that is unavailable for anyone to access?

If you thought about the facts, thought about the issue and convinced your friend to tell the whole truth (not that she's lying, mind you, but the WHOLE truth) to us, then we could conscientiously observe and criticize but as of yet you continue to offer nothing but conjecture and unsubstantiated facts.

In truth, the people who CAN help your friend have offered their assistance. The best thing you can do is tell your friend to follow supports advice.

With that said, I know my friend has sent support messages in game and to the email with limited success. Passwords can be changed, as can emails, and accounts can be hacked. Also, why would someone sell their high level equipment to NPC, donate all coins and cash to a recently created alliance, disband, and come in WC and ask if anyone wanted prestige? For attention? This person is not one to go around begging for attention. In any case, why would you sabotage your own account? What's the point?

Rico, I wish I could live in your alternate universe. It sounds pretty great. Bwahahaha.

Im in the universe where my account has never been hacked despite the treatment I give the hackers. Do I also have to mention support and Thomas have not have their passwords hacked?

So tell me if they really wanted to cause damage why would they target such insignificant account....

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

Why would a hacker try and steal a moderators account. As soon as they get on they will prob be caught a lot faster than hacking a normal account. Most people hack accounts to either sell on the account, boredom or most likely, to feed there accounts or a friends and remove the chance of competition. Hackers aren't tactically doing it to try and sabotage haypi and if they are, there stupid because as you said it makes no sense to go for the little guy or girl.

Plus you have to give the hackers the benefit of the doubt that they have common sense, if a hacker wanted to affect this game, the last thing there gunna do is straight on attack the moderators or haypi staff because he or she will get caught pretty fast (depending actually). They would most likely try an take down the forums (which has been done), crash servers (been done) or find holes in your firewall or any protection you may have (won't mention anything about that).

* another reason a hacker may do it for the fun of knowing they have annoyed or upset someone else<-- actually prob the 2nd biggest reason

Peace out

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

Sadly you shouldn't even call them hackers since they have no actual skill and rely on external tools. Flooding the forums doesnt take skill, it takes google search.

I highly doubt people get hacked using simple methods. Usually what happens is someone shares their info to get their troops fed and when the other player gets bored they cause mischief to have a moment of fun before they quit.

Please don't consider these kids hackers, cause they are only sad, pathetic wannabe's

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

Yeah RICO I wouldn't exactly calling them types of people hackers either, there just wannabe 'hackers' (used in the loosest of terms) who like to pretend there being rebels because there social lives are non existent, I'm talking about the people who do actually hack accounts as it is suprisengly not that hard (so I'm told).

Most account hacks are because people tend to choose stupid and easy passwords which even a 6 year old can guess (so I'm told). Because there are lots of alts people tend to choose one of about 18 different passwords because of sheer laziness and because they have so many accounts they need a simple password (again so I'm told). I mean god the account that haypi has pictures of which is on the haypi kingdom app on the app centre has a stupidly easy password unless it has been changed as someone on my server mentioned it.

Re: What Has This Game Come To?

your not wrong, since the oasis update loads of ppl have killed off armies, s117 is just farming and chatting now, there are no significant movements in prestige ranks. Wc is dead for hours on end, ppl say they leave 100/100 cavs out overnight and nobody touches them. A big player recently returned built up spent a week there and gave up saying it was a waste of time and there's no action. I honestly don't see how it's making money now from this server. A top 5 alliance have just quit to go to another game with many from the server following suit.

Also judging by the general opinion when converstaion is engaged in WC and AC there's nothing but contempt for the planned updates that were tested in the beta. The same ideas that are always agreed upon during these conversations as to what will actually improve the game (more levels, greater tactical options on mines , more achievements etc) have been in suggestions for years now and still Haypi don't listen.

I'm afraid it's dying now and it won't get better anytime soon. The customer base are frustrated and angry with the developers hence the frequency of these type of topics. The problem Haypi have is that they never take the critism constructively, anytime you mail support your thoughts you get a generic responce "we sure will make it better, etc etc" the problem is we've been hearing that for 18 months now and well they haven't really. So we take to the forums in the hope that Thomas will take note, unfortunately the anger sometimes boils through and we say things we don't really mean like support suck etc etc blah blah. Rico comes along completely misses the point as usual and locks the topic down and the cycle continues meanwhile we all lose out.

As a player of 2+ years now i'm tired bored and angry, theres still an ember of love for the game but i honestly can't say how i will react should Haypi take note of our gripes and actually engage with the customer base once again. I'd describe being being a player now on an older server as purgatory, we litterally are just sat around chatting waiting to die. We won't go to newer servers as we've invested to much and we have our friends that we're loathe to abandon. Maybe the decline in revenue will alert Thomas & co to our situation but saldy I suspect they will just assume the games died and focus on Dragon.
