Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

I recently returned to Haypi only to find all my troops had been sent to die against high lvl forts 15 minutes earlier. I immediately changed my password and contacted support. This is all the reply I received:

Dear GooberHPD:
Hello!
I'm sorry that we can't make compensation for hacking.
Please make your password enough complicated and never give away your password.
Thanks for your question and continue to enjoy the game!
Best wishes.
Yolanda
Haypi Kingdom Team.

Being a paying customer, I expected at least some investigation and my troops to be restore. Instead, all I get is this. The disturbing part isn't even Haypi's lack of help but apparently lack of security. No one knows my password, meaning it must have been obtained through the system - which means my new password is as useless as the last. You would think Haypi would be able to compare IP addresses to find the culprit but instead they wash their hands of it.

Anyone that plays this game knows it becomes an obsession, but my faith is beginning to waiver greatly.

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

have you read the user agreement it could have been haypi who did it

"notwithstanding anything to the contrary hereinyou acknowledge and agree that you shall have no ownership or other property interest in the account.............the company may in its sole and absolute discretion modify accounts with or wiithout notice"

ok after that little joke. 1 either your password isnt that secure or some new hack has occured that haypi cant see. everyone always blames haypi for what occurs and that they dont try hard enough when people dont understand that they have there own lives,
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

I never told anyone my password. My password doesn't even make sense and was unguessable.

Thus the only possible cause is a lack of security protocol connected to our passwords that can be easily maneuvered by anyone with programming talent. If I got hacked, that simply means anyone can get hacked at any point in time making this game quite redundant in the end.

My gripe isn't even with the lack of security. Motivated hackers can steal anything and I'd rather have the developers fixing bugs and improving the game. But support should atleast act as if they care. All I lost was 20k INF and 6k Cat. Had those been restored, I would have no qualms. I change my password and move on. Instead I get this "too bad, not our problem... But please enjoy the game!" response. Slightly pathetic really.

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

perhaps sending in some ss of losing troops, and then an explanation of why, would have benefited you better, than just complaining of being hacked.

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

I still have the bogus war reports but they were never requested by support. My tone would be much more laid back had supports initial response been more than just "tough luck".

Anyone logging into any account should leave an IP address. Could be easily masked but atleast some investigation would have been nice. Instead I'm left with the sense that my patronage is not appreciated.

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

usually when people say "some one hacked my account..." the focus is on the hacking of the account. as soon as you said that, they had a pre thought up thing to reply to you with.

if you had said "refund from hacking...."

they would have asked for ss. and if you sent ss, they would have taken more time to read your post more carefully.

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

Then I suppose someone needs to write a guide on how to talk to support then. 8-)

If my initial tone wasn't calm enough maybe it was because... Someone hacked my account! And whoever wrote that prescribed response needs to take better lessons in customer service.

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

that response was written because too many people were complaining of hacked accounts, but there isnt anything haypi can really do if your account is hacked.

Re: Hacked Account Apparently - Support Does Nothing

Well the abundance of such claims is sad to hear. But to not even restore what was an insignificant army is painful since I am trying to rebuild from nothing now. Someone clearly didn't appreciate that I was on war refuse and killed off my army by other means.

Being an avid coin purchaser up to this point, I cannot even bring myself to purchase VIP now since I need my remaining purse for rebuilding. I've wasted 50 coins accelerating troop builds just to get a farming army. I will probably continue playing despite this, but will not be purchasing coins again due to this treatment.
