Quick questions

Hey I´m a new player and had a few questions that I couldn´t find in the forums.

First is that I´ve gotten a level 5 armor from a chest. Would it be better for me to hold onto it or sell it and use the cash to upgrade my tech center stuff and buy any needed supplies? Keep in mine I just started a day or two ago.

Secondly, is Vip the best thing to buy with coins starting out?

Lastly when should I start to build my army up?

I would Equip the level 5 armor.

VIP is pretty much up to you, it gives you 3 upgrade spots, and no wait in chat.

I started building my army when my main city's reasorce buildings and all other buildings where all up to there max levels, also build like 1k-2k inf so that you can put them out hunting for 9-12 hours and get more money. Make sure whenever you build any troops you put them on hunt.

Equip it the armor: it adds 10 points in defense, later you will
max your equipment (lvl 15 of everything and lvl 10 ring) but for now a lvl 5 armor is better than most others have

Vip is very nice to have, you have no delay in chat which is nice so you don't have the annoying 15 sec wait pop-up thingy, and vip lets you perform 3 of each action at once, like hunting in 3 different spots in same city, building 3 traps at once, making 3 different types of troops or upgrading 3 things... Vip is very nice to have, but its not necessary, just very useful.

Start building your army NOW! Having a good army lets you gain prestige from the building and from when you kill other players troops (note: since you just started you will have to wait until you're a 3rd baron or 7 days to attack a player) but having a nice army is good. Id recommend a lot of catupults and infantry to start, once you reach 250+ cats you can attack a lvl 1 fort and take it's resources, which lets you build a bigger army also you can attack oasis which up your resource production

When i make a new account i start just upgrading resources. I get up to lvl 10 or 11 of every resource.(upgrading warehouse and main building also)
I would defintely get vip to start. It makes it twice as easy to upgrade and makes it much faster.
Just some advise, dont waste ur coins all at once. get vip then if u have some left over save

i would keep the armor. you problably wont get it again anytime soon.

as for your coins, save them. unless your willing to spend alot on the game, the coins will help you with buying treasures needed for lvling up. VIP i think is for people who either talk alot, are impatient (no offense to you guys) and have alot of coins and money to spare

I think I´ll take Beasts advice and quickly upgrade my materials all up to 10ish since I seem to keep running out of them all. Then focus on my army for small raids or whatever.

Also how much supplies can I expect from attacks? I´m guessing it´s worth the troups and costs even if I can only capture the weak forts.

Lastly since I´m waiting for materials to upgrade, it´s probably not worth getting Vip atm?

No point in having VIP unless you have coins to spare. Upgrade everything to the max(res. can b 15) before you build an army, its also smart to have an alliance to watch your back. If someone attacks you when you dont have any troops out, it's considered unfair and your alliance will likely help you out. keep the armour, Im lvl 12 and I only hav lvl 4 armour. you can also look for alliances in the alliance section of server 7 forums or there is also lots of allainces looking for members in world chat so you can just ask about them. you can also ask the experts(iLuxa25, BabyBinks, GodOf_War, MrsDiQ) for their opinion on the best alliance based on your preferences

Don't build your army too much because if u don't have enough crop output than u will starve ur troops and they will die and prestige will be lost
