10 STEPS TO A POWERFUL ALLIANCE

1. the alliance is a group of generals come together for a common cause. The purpose of the alliance is of the utmost importance and must be established. The alliance is goal driven.

Common alliance goals:
To reach top rank
To create a friendly environment to meet people
To train generals
To crop/pin others

First and foremost, when creating and joining an alliance, you must consider the goals of said alliance. 
What is it you are allying yourself for? 
Is it protection from others?
Strength to push others around?
Perhaps you wish to police a server, punishing those who oppose your sanctions?
Maybe you'd like to be an alliance of ninja, pulling strings from backstage, influencing others for your gain.
Some want to be #1.
Some just want to teach new generals how to play the game the right way.
Whatever it is, you need to establish this and you will attract an be attracted to like-minded individuals.
Some things to ponder about creating/joining an alliance:
Age level
Activity
Personality
Playing style
Experience (not prestige)
Goals/ideals/ethics
