Simple question

My "unlock chest" skill is only level 4. Does that mean if I bought a level 5 chest I wouldn't be able to open it?

Simple answer... correct.. You would need to get hold of a lvl 5 key

It would have been better if you kept that skill at level 3 because commonly that is the highest level chest you will get from hunts.

and rarely does daily gift give you a chest above lvl 3. also, it is not worth it to waste your skill points on that, in order to get 12k money. nor is it worth it, for you to spend 100k+ on a key. and 50k+ for a chest... and you only get 15-20k from it.

simply put, sell your chests above lvl 4, to some other sucker, and dont be a sucker and buy a chest above lv 3.

Someone said they got a gem from one. I need a gem and have been opening lvl 4 chests looking for one. I've got 40 coins to buy a medal but don't want to buy more coins for the gem as well. Is there an easier way to accomplish this without coins?

Yes except my relatively new server has a huge demand for gems right now. On a bell curve the peak would be around 6-9 which both require gems. I haven't seen a gem on the market for weeks either because everyone is using theirs or they sell so fast i don't catch them. I can come up with the money easily enough as i keep buying lvl 4 chests for 25k but can't find a gem to buy at any price. Argh. I'm level 9 with almost the prestige to get lvl 12 immediately.

Honestly this is the dumbest game mechanic because lower levels have no hope of fielding the amount of troops it takes to actually hunt these treasures so they basically force you to buy them with real dollers. Sorry for rant, i'm a lil frustrated.

max in beginning for nugget is 50k but will drop to 25k after a certain amount of time (I dont know how long but in my servers its taken like a month or so).

gems start at 60k but go to 120k
medals start at 100k but go to 200k
septas start at 200k but go to 400k
crowns atart at 500k but go to 1million (i thinks thats max)

the gem si=hortage situation usually sorts itself out as people realise that they are in demand and can charge a high price for them and generate lots of money
