Is there a way to cancel a request to
join an alliance?

Nope.. You can send different requests to different alliances though. If you get accepted by one you don't want, just quit and apply to the one you want.

If you quit though, make sure you inform the leader or a vice that it was an accident. One of my branch alliances has this thing that people that don't give a reason or at least a notice for leaving get attacked. Some people like to hop alliances to get info. Saw that a lot in pvp and see it a bit on server 5.

In my opinion.. Most alliances that attack players for leaving have high standards and talk to you before accepting.. If they accept you without talking to you first then they probably don't care, that's how you tell between good alliances and bad ones. But yea tell them you're leaving.. It doesn't hurt
