Big alliance, small problem

My alliance is boob boys and depending on what day it is were ranked between 77 and 80. Recently I've been getting attacked by much much larger alliances. I feel like there's nothing I can do. If I attack back I risk an onslaught of level 15's.What do u do when ur confronted with attacks by top 5 teams with no hope of winning? These huge alliancens should pick on groups there own size and strength. Why battle little guys?

Re: Big alliance, small problem

It doesn't really matter what level you are in war.
War is about locking down attacking subs, jacking oasis/forts and being a nuisance in general.

You actually have the advantage. There would be many smaller alliances that would want in if a mass attack was launched on a top 5 Alliance.
Start working those fingers and get yourself some allies!

Re: Big alliance, small problem

High lvl players attack small lvl players because they have either left troops out, or have a grudge against them... The best way to avoid an attack from high lvl players is to not leave troops out, period... If you get scouted and have troops out but hunt them, the player will continue to scout you until you make a mistake...

The answer to your next question is a continuation on the above, high lvl players will hide troops better or have high lvl towers making attacks not worth the effort, I personally will attack a lvl 12 or 13 before a lvl 15 because the odds are better that the lower lvl has worse defenses and I know I can probably get the max pres from the attack! I don't want to spend 40 coins on an attack that will only generate 12k because I lost too many troops taking down lvl 10 traps and towers!

Hope this answers your question!

Re: Big alliance, small problem

I'd suggest finding out who their enemies are. Strike a deal. You starve them, they can go for prestige hits, then you steal the sub. Send them coords of ppl in your enemy alliance when they have troops out or when you find their subs, along with crop starving them by clearing oasis's. After they clear one of their subs, take it for your own because chances are, their sub is better than yours.

You can time their crop losses to see how much they're losing per few minutes and multiply to see crop loss per hour while you find their crop oasis's. If you can suprise them with little to no troops in a city you can work out a hefty blow. A cav/archer combination will take out lv 10 turrets a lot easier than just cats or even cats/cav. If you question the latter, think about the order in speed of troops and how long it takes each to hit turrets. An archer/cav combo will take out 3 rows of turrets by the end of turn 2 while all other combos will take 4+ turns (3 if the field length is small) leaving you with less prestige gain and more losses. Also, cav/archer is a lot faster and easier to clear them if you want to try farming the high levels yourself. Especially if you can get word that the people are occupied while their city has a lot of crop depletion and troops are hunting.

Also, put your cranny on max, aim for either level 8+ turrets or traps if you can't afford it, when you go away or offline develope something to use your resources and make sure you have plenty of crops (build something to reduce the resources they can take. I suggest below 70k resources except crops). I generally like to put a cat or two in my crop oasis's bc they can't scout oasis's clearly, ever. So when they send horses to take them quickly, they just feed you prestige. Free prestige. Then you can decide to defend or not depending on what they sends after that if they try to crop starve you. ^^
