If you have tons of people attacking you first thing is finding out why and try to resolve it via pm. If that doesn't work don't make turrets or anything like that since the constant attacks will end up just wiping them out. I suppose make traps but don't invest in the technology heavily. Now if that still isn't working turtle up and let them attack for no reason since they cant get resources. If they trying to take a sub don't refuse war but rather add loyalty for 2 coins. Also see about joining a good alliance or rival alliance for protection.

NOW if all of that failing and they still persist look toward the top 20 players for help. Usually if they know people are launching attacks that means there are units involved and they would want that prestige. Its a long shot but when I was still war mongering I used to take request by players being harased so that I could catch their armies

I am curious as to what you mean by catching their armies rico..... Ho do you do that? Do you attack right when the attacker finishes his attack on the person he was harrassing?
