How can you tell what server you are in?

Everybody seems to know what server they're in.. I just have one question... HOW? I would really like to know and any help would be greatly appreciated. I've checked everywhere on my iTouch but I can't find anything about a server.

Also I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread but it's the best I could think of for it.
