Re: Haypi - A game or a business?

haypi will always be a business, however their field of business is gaming. Tbh they have always made it possible to compete without purchasing coins which is a good thing. I've been playing 2 whole years now and ive spent max £500.00 in total that's about £0.69p a day for a game I spend hours daily on. If you compare that to WOW or other MMo's then its relatively cheap.

Why I think haypi get a bad rep is basically there lack of communication and understanding displayed by there support team as a whole. Of course it's not all, but the general perception by most players is that Haypi don't care. Many times they fail to help you out with problems or appear unconcerned, it's basically poor customer service (it could be the language barrier, which requires player understanding to) but i think not. I think it's also a cultural thing to as China are embracing capitalism whilest we in the "west" are currently recovering from 4/5 years of economic devastion brought on by the greed of capitalism. Therefore i think we "westerners" look at agressive profit driven companies in a different light than we did 5-10 years ago and haypi suffer from this.

To be a succesful company you need to be big enough to be cutting edge but small enough to care, I feel haypi haven't found this balance yet. Perhaps they never will but as always with their later updates the tactic of playing deaf to their customers concerns widens the rift rather than closes it.

Re: Haypi - A game or a business?

I have not been playing for as long as others, but I did start to really like the game.

However, it seems as if this latest "upgrade" is meant to do nothing more than get more money out of people.
You can't sell gear higher than level 1, but you can upgrade it if you buy coins - What this does is force people to either spend money or buy coins.
The daily gift is not that awesome - You can get 20k Crop!!! Wow! Thanks! And you can keep opening chests for a coin each.
Everything in the game seems to be tied into getting players to buy more and more coins. The 1600 coin pack doesn't even go very far in the game because everyting requires coins now, and a lot of coins at that.

Here is what I sudgest
1. Keep the option to upgrade items with coins or in-game money, but allow people to list the higher level gear again.
2. The daily gift is kinda dumb if you get 20k of a material, I get 20K in no time with my cities, oasis's and forts.
3. Mail system needs an upgrade. With scouting reports, war reports, NPC transactions, etc... This clogs up the mail very fast and you lose mail you want to keep because there it no way to file a mail to be stored.
4. Chat... Would be nice to be able to see Alliance Chat, or Personal Chat when I'm on the main screen or when I'm looking at the map. Also to send someone a private chat is very cumbersome. The whole chat system in general needs an overhaul. Or would that cost more coins?
5. If your going to add more things in the game that require coins, at least make them cheaper. The 1600 coin package "The Ultra Package" doesn't feel very "Ultra" when it's gone in a couple days and you just spent $100 on it. It makes people feel ripped off actually and makes them stop playing the game.

Alright, I'm done venting. I WAS really getting into this game, and I was even considering buying some coins so I can enjoy the game a little more, but now with the amount of coins needed for various things in the game, I don't see this as an option since it will end up costing me more to play than WOW, and with WOW, I get a LOT more game content and features.

Cool game, please don't ruin it.

I fail to see how this now-defunct website promotes illegal HK activity, but hey, I'll just hang out over here in the real world while Rico lives on Fantasy Island. :D

I appreciate being banned for asking how and why the acceptance of reality is against HK rules.

Re: Haypi - A game or a business?

This topic is so redundant ive been avoiding reading any of the posts until today. C'mon people....is haypi a business? What kind of simpleton would think haypi (or any other game developing company) has any interest prioritized before their bottom dollar?
Hehehe, if you believe they do or should, I will not entertain conversation with you on the subject.

In the meanwhile, I've been reading several posts about how the company is out for your buck and is getting greedier and greedier with every update.

Aside from the fact that it shouldn't surprise you if they were, I feel many are making redundant arguments on the matter. Saying things like the new equipment upgrading makes you buy more coins is just narrow minded and ignorant. Like villan said before me, nothing in the game requires you to spend money, only time. Even things like VIP and war refuse may be purchased with free coinage, if your patient enough to save them.

More specifically, it has already been proven (by me and others) that you need no coins to enhance your equipment. Nuggets are quite easily hunted and now you may even get them in a daily gift. The update it seems has made it even easier for one to upgrade their equipment without even using nuggets. I don't know about you, but I've been playing a long time and have never had any equipment be level 20.

And daily gift? Are people really so audacious as to talk smack on FREE GIFTS? Did your mothers never teach about looking gift horses in the mouth? Heck, in 2 weeks I've already gotten more gold coins from daily gift than I have in the past 30 months. More to the point, almost every free gift I select has had free coins be one of the prizes.

Now I can see why everyone is sad about their oasis situations, but I'm gonna call a spade a spade here. Youre upset cuz your oases drop to level 8 too quick? Grow up. Go find a new oasis. I've never refreshed an oasis in my life, I always find new ones and it ain't hard, people. I can't believe the uproar over something simple like that.

Anyway, I've ranted. Whatever.
