Archers??

Ive been doing some research into archers.. Food consption wise the are5x better so... An archers attact times 5 is the same as a cats (5x60=300) and speed+attack is higher ..arch=125 cat=50 and .5x125=500 cat=450
However i know that cats range and defense is higher.
Now hers the question, if you had a high enough speed in a cat vs archer battle could you jump the the range diiference and use your speed to attack first winning the battle ??

Absolutely you can, I do it all the time

Yes you can. Max speed on an archer allows it to move 400 (that is max enhance+max gear+max tech+100 attribute). Range is 720 (600+600*10*.02). If you combine forward movement with range the archers have a working range of 1120.

Same stuff for cats are 140 movement and 960 range. This is an 1100 working range.

Archers actually have a larger working range than cats and can be used effectively for first hit.

Now, because of defense of cats you generally need about 10x more archers than cats.

Likewise there is a minimum speed necessary to hit first, you dont have to have max speed. There is a threshold for your speed in relation to the speed of the enemy cat, and yes the enemies speed will affect the threshold.
On top of all this, commanding properly is a must, as just charging forward will likely result in the cats hitting first.

160 movement you mean, giving them exactly the same working range as arch.
