Re: Hunting
it is unknown specifically but i suspect you need more units so that your hunts are larger
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: Hunting
i have 2100/100/0/100 and everytime i hunt for 12-15 hours I get a silver chest
Re: Hunting
I hunt with 1200 inf in lvl 9 wood for 9 hours and get silver chest
Re: Hunting
I have had gold and silver boxes from short hunts( less than 30 mins) I've also had them from larger hunts. I'm guessing the chance of getting one is linear to hunt value, so a small value would give a small chance of receiving one and a larger value a greater chance. This would mean that they are proably possible with any value but extremely unlikely with the smalles of hunts. I've had a gold box with as little as 2 mins I believe so anything is possible.
Re: Hunting
Simon I am inclined to concur. I, too, have received both silver and gold chests from hunts with leas than 1000 troops, every type of troop, and for varying lengths of time, ranging from under 5 minutes to over 20 hours.
I don't think there is truly a way to measure the probability of harvesting one, as one could not possibly control such research.
As it stands, no one really knows how any hunts are determined, and the chests npc values are not congruent with any of the standard hunt estimates.
One thing is certain, however.....to hunt one of these chests is NOT an uncommon occurrence. And considering what the gold chest sells for, it should always be considered a great harvest of you receive one.
I'd like to point out a discrepancy in the original post....
Fortune does not affect the amount of gold you harvest. Apparently, it affects the probability of that money being turned into treasure/equipment of am equal or lesser value to the monetary amount that would be harvested.
